An oil-free screw air compressor is a type of rotary screw compressor that does not use oil in the compression chamber, making it ideal for applications where air purity is critical. 

Oil-free screw compressors use two intermeshing helical rotors (screws) to compress air. Unlike oil-injected screw compressors, they rely on alternative methods for sealing, cooling, and lubrication:

• Teflon coatings, water, or air may be used for cooling.

• Bearings are typically isolated and may be lubricated by grease or located outside the compression chamber.
